Want to add your own favorite songs to your Pomme record player? ♡
You can easily replace or update the music using a computer and the included Type-C cable. Follow the steps below carefully to make sure each record plays the correct song.
What You’ll Need
Before you begin, prepare:
- Your Pomme record player
- The original Type-C cable
- A computer (Windows or Mac)
- Your music files in MP3 format
Important: Please do not rename, delete, or reorganize the original numbered folders on the device.
Step 1: Connect Your Record Player to Your Computer
Connect the record player to your computer using the Type-C cable.
Once connected, the device should appear as a removable drive:
Windows: Open This PC and locate the removable drive.
Mac: Open Finder and locate the connected device.
Open the drive and you should see a series of numbered folders.
Step 2: Match the Folder to the Record
Each record corresponds to a numbered folder.
For example:
Folder 01 → Record No. 1
Folder 02 → Record No. 2
Folder 03 → Record No. 3
...and so on.
✨ The folder number and record number must match.
If you want to change the song for Record No. 3, for example, make sure you edit the music inside Folder 03.
Putting a song into the wrong folder may cause the record to play the wrong music or prevent it from being recognized correctly.
Step 3: Prepare Your New Music
Make sure the song you want to use is in MP3 format before transferring it.
If your audio file is another format, such as M4A or WAV, convert it to MP3 first.
For the smoothest transfer, we recommend preparing the MP3 file on your computer before making any changes to the record player.
Step 4: Replace or Add Your Music
Open the numbered folder that matches the record you want to update.
You can transfer your MP3 using either of these methods:
Copy & Paste — Recommended ♡
Copy the MP3 file from your computer and paste it into the correct numbered folder.
Drag & Drop
You can also drag the MP3 file directly into the correct folder.
Keep the record player connected to your computer until the transfer is completely finished.
Step 5: Safely Disconnect Your Record Player
Once your music has finished transferring, double-check that the file is inside the correct folder.
Then safely eject the removable drive from your computer before unplugging the Type-C cable.
This helps prevent files from becoming corrupted or damaged.
Now you can test your record and enjoy your new song! 🎵🍎
A Few Important Notes
Please keep these tips in mind when changing your music:
- Use MP3 files only.
- Do not rename or delete the original numbered folders.
- Do not mix music files between different numbered folders.
- Always match the folder number with the record number.
- Keep the device connected until the file transfer is complete.
- For larger files, transfer them in batches rather than all at once.
- Always safely eject the device before disconnecting the cable.
